The Game Over project is now moving into its final stage, and at Centro San Viator we are experiencing these last steps with real enthusiasm.
Over the past few weeks, we have started to share with our teaching staff the resources that are already available on the project website, including the Early Detection Instrument and the different toolkits developed for teachers, students and families. It has been very rewarding to see how these materials are beginning to generate conversation inside our school.
The reaction from teachers has been especially positive.
Many of them immediately recognised the value of the results, not as something distant or theoretical, but as practical resources connected to situations they see in their everyday work. Online gaming, digital habits, prevention and early warning signs are topics that schools cannot ignore, and the materials developed in Game Over are helping us approach them with more clarity and confidence.
There is also a sense of expectation.
Several teachers have shown interest in exploring the resources further and in understanding how they can be used with students and families. For us, this is one of the most important signs that the project is reaching its purpose: creating tools that are not only well designed, but also meaningful for real educational contexts.
At the same time, our team is giving the final touches to the translations of the WP4 online training materials. This part is particularly important for our centre, because we want the training to be accessible to all professionals, including those who do not feel comfortable working in English. As in the other partner countries, the materials are being translated and adapted into our own language so that teachers and education professionals can use them as soon as possible.
Step by step, the project results are becoming part of our school life.
And that is what makes this final phase so exciting. After months of work, coordination, revisions and shared decisions between partners, we can now see how the outputs are taking shape as useful resources for teachers, families and students.
We are looking forward to sharing the final results very soon and to continuing this work beyond the project itself. Game Over has helped us open an important conversation about online gaming and young people’s wellbeing, and at Centro San Viator we are ready to keep building on it.
